Privacy
Atenti is built around a simple idea: your meetings are yours. The app runs on your Mac, and by default nothing about your meetings leaves your computer. This page explains exactly what data the app and this website handle, and when anything is sent anywhere else.
Who runs Atenti
Atenti is made by Crea Visual SpA, an independent software company in Chile. If you have a privacy question, write to support@atenti.app.
What stays on your Mac
- Audio, video, and transcripts from your meetings.
- Notes, summaries, decisions, and action items generated from those meetings.
- Your settings, including which calendar accounts you've connected and which AI provider you've chosen.
- Any API keys you paste into Atenti — these are stored in your macOS Keychain and never transmitted to us.
None of this is uploaded to any Atenti-controlled server. There is no Atenti server that receives your recordings.
What is sent off your Mac — and only then
If you use cloud transcription or AI notes
Atenti supports two providers, both of which you opt into and pay directly:
- OpenAI — if you paste an OpenAI API key, Atenti sends your audio (for transcription) or transcript (for notes/chat) directly to OpenAI under your account. We do not see or proxy this traffic.
- Anthropic — same arrangement: if you paste an Anthropic API key, your transcripts go directly to Anthropic under your account.
Both providers have their own data policies; we encourage you to read them. If you'd rather send nothing to any cloud, use Atenti's fully-local mode (WhisperKit transcription, no AI notes).
License key validation
When you enter your license key, Atenti contacts our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) to confirm the key is valid and to register this device. The request includes your license key and a device identifier. It does not include any meeting data. After activation, Atenti re-checks validity periodically (about once a week) using the same minimal payload.
Auto-updates
Atenti uses Sparkle to check for updates. The app makes a request to atenti.app/updates/appcast.xml — a static file on this site — to see if a newer version is available. This request includes the app version and standard HTTP headers (operating system, locale). It does not include any meeting data or personal identifiers.
This website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare logs basic visit data (IP address, browser, page requested) to operate the service. We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising. There are no cookies set by us.
Payments
When you buy Atenti, the checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing address, and payment details to process the transaction and comply with tax law. Atenti receives a record of the purchase (your email and the product purchased) so we can send you the license key and product updates. We do not store or have access to your card details.
What we never do
- We do not transmit your recordings, transcripts, or notes to any server we control.
- We do not run telemetry or send usage statistics about how you use the app.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not show advertising in the app or on this site.
Your rights
You can delete any meeting, recording, transcript, or note inside the app at any time — they're files on your Mac. To request deletion of your purchase record (email + license history), write to support@atenti.app and we'll handle it within 30 days. Note that doing this also revokes any active license.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Atenti handles data in a material way, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above. For meaningful changes, we'll also surface a notice in the app the next time you launch it.
